Water and Electrolytes: Vital for Life

Water makes up approximately 60-65% of an adult animal’s body weight and is essential for nearly all normal body functions to occur. Most of this fluid is inside the cells with only 20% being outside the cells and as little as 5% inside the blood vessels.
