Emeprid acts to reduce the chances of vomiting and to promote the passage of food through the stomach and into the intestine at a normal rate. Emeprid can be given in cases of an inflamed stomach lining, gastro-intestinal upsets, pyloric stenosis and other conditions which can lead to vomiting such as nephritis. Emeprid drops are given directly into the mouth two or three times daily. Emeprid is used for dogs and cats
Oral drops. For dogs and cats, administer directly into the mouth. at a rate of 2.5 to 5 ml/10 kg bodyweight, twice daily or 1.7 to 3.3 ml/10 kg three times daily. Oral administrations can be repeated with minimum intervals of 6 hours.
This product is often used in rabbits “off license”. The dose as advised by the veterinary surgeon should then be followed.
