Bravecto can be given safely to breeding dogs, including pregnant or lactating bitches and puppies from eight weeks of age. The tablets should not be broken prior to dosing and are best given with food.

Dog tablets
Bravecto is only effective once the parasite has bitten the dog and taken some blood, so in a heavily infested environment, newly attached parasites might be seen briefly before they die. Newly emerged fleas will be killed before they are mature enough to lay eggs, so the life cycle of the flea is effectively stopped.
